Headmaster's competency at secondary technical schools with technical focus

The diploma thesis deals with the current topic of headmaster's competence at secondary vocational schools, technically oriented. The thesis is based on the general theory of competencies and competency models. It aims to identify the headmaster's competencies at the technical vocational school in Prague and based on these findings create the competence model. On the basis of the literature search, a research was carried out, its purpose was to find out what competences the those people possess, i.e. to identify these competencies and to compile a competence model. The questionnaire survey technique was used as the first, data collection technique. Within the questionnaire survey, all headmasters and deputy headmasters were approached at 15 secondary technical schools in Prague. The third group of respondents was consisted of the founder of these schools. Through the questionnaire survey, we determined the importance of individual competencies. The second used technique was a semi-structured interview with selected representatives of respondent groups (headmasters and deputy headmasters). Bullying in schools through the eyes of school principals

The diploma thesis deals with bullying and conflicts in the school environment, specifically in the environment of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and how the principals of these schools view bullying. Bullying in the school environment is a frequently discussed phenomenon and a problem that needs to be addressed, hence it was chosen as a current topic for this thesis. The theoretical part describes the knowledge about conflicts and bullying - definitions of conflict and bullying, classification, manifestations and causes, methods of solution and prevention, as well as history. The empirical part deals with in depth interviews with school principals, who answer questions about bullying at their school as part of qualitative research. The possible occurrence of bullying and conflicts, the awareness and experience of school principals, as well as their views on bullying and conflicts in education are identified. Furthermore, the methods of prevention and solutions that the school chooses are found out. The work is based on methodological approaches of grounded theory. Strategic management of school in the context of six-year term

The aim of the thesis is to determine whether there are limits that may restrict kindergarten headmaster in the strategic management of the school, considering a six-year term in office. The thesis consists of two main parts. In the theoretical part, the concepts such as strategic management of the school, position of the kindergarten headmaster and a six-year term in office are explained. The research part describes the processes at the school. Methods of observation, interview, questionnaires and document analyses, are used in order to collect the data which are coded, categorized, and then used to form a story.
Comparison of managerial competencies headmaster and manager in the commercial sector

Final thesis presents a comparison of managerial competencies of headmaster of elementary school with middle management manager in the commercial sector in the area of leadership. The issue is based on experience, knowledge and skills of the current headmasters of the primary schools and middle management managers within their managerial competencies. The aim of the work and chosen qualitative research using of methodology "shadowing", which comes from all day observable behavior is to compare specific managerial skills among primary school headmaster and manager of middle management in the commercial sector in area of leadership. By comparison of the specific managerial competencies we will be able to compare the level, purpose and importance of the specific managerial competencies to the primary school headmaster and manager of middle management of the commercial sector. Establishment's evaluation of primary and pre-primary school's headmasters

The work deals with the question of the evaluation of nursery and primary schools' headmasters. The aim is to examine the evaluation systems of the establisher and, subsequently, to compare the theory and the practice of the human resources management. The theoretical part of the work proceeds of the general knowledge in the human resources management and informs about the education system's problems as a specific branch. The research is conducted by the method of the content analysis of the randomly chosen sample of documents. The documents determine rules for the evaluation of nursery and primary schools' headmasters. The research shows that to create a system which could cover all the aspects of headmaster's work and, of course, could lead to the constant improving of their work results, isn't easy for the establishers at all. The manual of headmasters' evaluation - it is the results of this work - could help to make it better. It provides the basic information and advice, including the suggestion of evaluation standards, for the establishers.
Family constellation of Headmasters

This Diploma thesis examines the issue of family constellations school directors. It explores the family constellation directors of different types of schools. Starts from the premise that school heads comes from a similar initial family environment and that there is no difference between family constellations directors of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Basic starting point has become from research results of family constellations school principals in the Czech Republic, which uncover their characteristics.The theoretical part of the thesis starts with an explanation of basic terms, as well as maps of the individual differences-influence of heredity, family, education and environment. It also discusses the analysis of family constellations and their impact on the conduct and behavior of man. The research is based on a mixed research design. There is included both qualitative and quantitative phase of research. The entire research work is kept aim the work and research questions. They are looking for answers to what are the family constellation headmasters and if there is any similarity with head teachers and if there are differences in family constellations with directors of various types of schools.
